Allicia Faraco
Practicum Therapist
My name is Allicia, but please feel free to call me Allie. Learning the practice of therapy has helped me recognize how deeply our lived and internal experiences can affect our interpersonal relationships and our sense of identity, safety, belonging, and self. I see therapy as a collaborative partnership rooted in safety, consent, compassion, and mutual respect. You set the pace and direction of our work, and we make space for what feels important to you.
I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating life’s challenges and seeking deeper connection, understanding, and growth. I’m especially passionate about supporting people who have spent much of their lives taking care of everyone else and may find themselves wondering, “What about me?” This can include clients struggling with self-worth, attachment wounds, trauma and complex PTSD, people-pleasing, caretaking, communication, and belonging. I’m also particularly interested in supporting clients through major life transitions, including perinatal mental health, perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, and the shifts in identity, relationships, and sense of self that can accompany these seasons of life.
My approach is informed by experiential modalities, attachment theory, and trauma-informed principles. I’m drawn to approaches that honor the whole person, including thoughts, emotions, relationships, body, history, values, and lived experience, rather than focusing solely on identifying the protective strategies a person has developed to cope with their environment.
I am supervised by Amy Reha, LCPC, NCC, and practice from a neurodiversity-affirming lens.
